Corset Sizing Information
Corset sizes do not apply to your regular clothes size. All corsets are sized
by waist size rather than clothing size. Corsets should be ordered 4-6 inches
below your natural waist measurement, depending on the desired effect. For
those of you who are petite your waist will not compress as easily, or as far,
as a person who is larger. The best rule of thumb is for a waist that is 32” or
less you would order a corset that is 2- 4 inches smaller than your current waist
size. If your waist size is 34" or higher, then you should order your corset 4- 6"
smaller.
Therefore a person whose natural waist is 32 inches should order a corset size
28-30 inches. For a waist size of 42" you should choose a corset size of 36-38".
All corset should be cofortable to wear.
Do not lace your corset too tightly during the first few weeks of wear – your new
garment should be ‘broken in’, whereby the fabric is allowed to take the strain
evenly and the corset adjusts to your body shape – and your body similarly
adjusts to the compression.
Measure yourself in inches around the fullest part of your bust, the narrowest part
of your waist and around the top of your hip bones. Make sure not to pul the
measuring tape too tight, and always measure 2 or 3 times for accuracy!
These corsets are created to fit your body so it's snug, but not uncomfortable.
They fit comfortably at the ribs and hips and compresses only your waist, allowing for easy breathing.
